The Adelaide Hockey Club is one of the largest and most successful hockey clubs in South Australia with over 400 members playing both the Junior and Senior competition. New players of all ages and abilities are always welcome.

Welcome to Season 2021

We are extremely proud as a club that, despite the challenges of COVID, AHC had a total of 398 members competing in the senior and junior competitions in 2020, which was a reduction of only 2 players in an incredibly difficult year. Of the 398 members, 227 were below the age of 18 and our oldest player is 78 this year!

In 2020, AHC was able to field 19 junior teams and 12 senior teams, an increase from 30 to 31 in total, with the addition of an M3M team. 37 of our members participated in more than one competition. In addition, we fielded multiple teams in all junior divisions, with over 225 junior players having participated in these teams through the season. Of the 25 teams eligible for finals, 17 teams made semi-finals with 13 proceeding to grand finals and 4 of these winning the premiership flag.

So, it is time to get registered for 2021! We are looking forward to a full season, and even though COVID is still with us, we are prepared to meet the challenges that may arise. To kick the season off, our Premier League and M1 teams will start their seasons against Adelaide Uni HC (at AUHC) on Sunday March 21; the Pea men will take the field at 2pm, followed by the women at 3:30pm. Come on out and cheer them on!

Junior Development

The AHC is proud to play a leading role in developing junior hockey in our state.  We field teams in all girls and boys grades allowing continuous progress throughout the junior ranks.

Every year we run a pre-season Junior Development Academy and in the July school holidays, there is a larger Coaching Clinic available to all Hockey SA clubs.

We also run a Minkey competition for primary school students from any school.
