Welcome to 2026 at the Adelaide Hockey Club.  

 

We hope this year will be a really exciting year for the club. To kick off the season in style, we have built a brand new pitch. This has been the culmination of 18 months hard work and with the investment we have put into the project, should create a lasting foundation for hockey at AHC for the next 30 - 40 years. 

 

But we are not done there. In 2026, we are kicking off the final stage of the project which will be to integrate a state of the art irrigation system. This will create a truely world class hockey venue. Stage 1 of the irrigation was completed with the pitch build and the final stage, and bulk of the irrigation work, is due to be completed by the 2027 season start. You will hear more of this during the year and I know the generous AHC community will get behind this ambitious project.

 

In 2026 we're also looking to build on the success of our Men's, Women's and Juniors programs over the last few years.  We give thanks to Shaun Dawson and Brodie Gleeson who oversaw a very successful period in the clubs history as PLM and PLW coaches, and are excited to announce a brand new coaching line up to take us into 2026 and beyond.

 

Emily Grist and Lauren Lee will lead the PLW and M1W respectively, with Keegan Popowski leading the  PLM team. We are also thrilled that Darren Neimke will continue to coach the M1M in 2026. AHC is truely lucky to have such an exciting coaching line up.  We're also incredibly lucky to have Jaimie Holland providing specialist goalkeeper training for our leading keepers in the Club.

I am very honoured to be your President for 2026. Belinda Blackburn is stepping back in as Secretary and Lachlan Scott will continue as Treasurer of the club.

I look forward to seeing you all around the Club from here onwards as we ramp up pre-season training and get set for another successful campaign at Pea Park.
